I am Joy O’Donnell, and I am asking for your support as I seek to be the Federal Liberal Candidate for Brantford - Brant South in the upcoming by-election.

2.         When the nomination process is announced, come out to support (vote for) me to be your Federal Liberal Candidate.

It was a huge honour to represent you as your Federal Liberal Candidate in April 2025, and I hope to do so again.

In 2025, we gained 41% of the total local vote, the best result in 20 years for LIBERALS locally.  Our Team Joy numbered over 300 volunteers, and we were thrilled to bring Mark Carney to Brantford for a large campaign rally supporting The Joy O’Donnell Team for Brantford - Brant South - Six Nations.  And we accomplished those results within a campaign window of less than four weeks.   Imagine what we can do today!!

Why Joy? And why now?

Joy is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and has been providing financial planning services in Brantford and Cambridge since 1995.  In 2005 she started her own company, Grand Financial Planning, servicing Brantford, Cambridge, and surrounding communities.

Over the past 30 years, Joy has been an active volunteer in the Brantford - Brant South and Six Nations communities.  She has worked with various levels of government and seen the positive role government can have on the lives of the people in our community.  This has inspired Joy to get more involved and to use her dedication and commitment to step forward as a Candidate in order to help our community  to grow and prosper at this critical time in history.

Currently, Joy is President of the Brantford Brant Chamber of Commerce.  She was recently a Director on the Grand Erie Public Health Board for 5+ years.  

Joy is a member of the Rotary Club of Brantford, where she was President in 2022.  Joy has also received an Ambassador Award from the City of Brantford Economic Development Board in 2012, and a Canada 150 award in 2017.  Joy is a past Chair of the Grand River Conservation Foundation and is currently the Chair of the Mohawk Lake Working Group and is a Director on the Grand Watershed Trails Network board.

Joy has been married to Joseph (Joe) O’Donnell since 1994 and they have raised two sons,  Quinn and Connor, while residing in Brantford.  The O’Donnell family enjoys biking and hiking on our local beautiful trail network and enjoys boating on our very own Canadian Great Lakes.
